Hello everyone! In a few more days it will be Christmas (for all those who are celebrating). Especially if your trying to decide the perfect gift for that nail polish lover, honestly, this collection is golden! For today's post, I have LVX Nail Polish Winter Resort '16 Collection. Impressed with their formula and application, from their last collection, I couldn't wait to try out these gorgeous colors (which where inspired by runway colors). I even love their super classy
and elegant packaging.
Produced in the USA, they have
a nice selection of cremes and most of all unique colors.
The collection is made up of six beautiful creme shades that give you
that summery island feel. These polishes have a chip resistant, 5-free,
vegan, and cruelty-free (more info here). So let's check out the beauties:
Lait- is a gorgeous ivory or off-white creme. This is truly a classic and elegant shade for the season. I love how perfect it pairs with all the colors from this collection. The
formula on this polish is exceptionally good. I had no problems with
streaking or staining at all. This is two coat sealed with top coat.
Bordeaux- is a maroon creme with a hint of violet and magenta undertones. This is another favorite shade of mine on this collection. The perfect color for the season. The formula on this polish is amazing and applied smoothly on the nails. This is two coats sealed with top coat.
For this look, I wanted to create a winter wonderland, kind of theme. I recently purchased some Christmas vinyls from
Stick It! Nail Vinyls and thought to use their dear shape. Especially since I'm the worst at drawing animal silhouettes. I used
Bordeaux and Lait,
freehand some snowflakes and used a dotting tool to create some dots. I really loved how these came out!
Cirque- is pink neutral creme, that is bold and girly. Another wonderful color that can be used all year round. The formula was perfection and was super easy to apply. This is two coats sealed with top coat.
As you can tell, I'm really into snowflakes lately. I guess since NJ hadn't had any, yet, it just feels wired without seeing any, especially in December. So for this look, I wanted to recreate a nail design I did last year using these gorgeous colors form this collection.
Jade- is a sea green creme, which can be seen in many runway design collections. This is one color I would never think of winter, but work s perfectly pair with some of the colors in the collection. The formula was perfection and was super easy to apply. This is two coats sealed with top coat.
Saint- is a really pretty and delicate mauve creme. LVX describes it perfectly as "royal shade is especially extraordinary because of its traces of rose and nude." The formula was perfection and was super easy to apply. This is two coats sealed with top coat.
For this look I wanted to (finally) create a Christmas theme nails, with ornaments. For the ornament I used
Stick It! Nail Vinyls Christmas Ornament Stencils. I used most of these colors:
Jade, Bordeaux and Cirque. I then added a few lines and bow, for the finishing touch.
Malbec- is violet creme with sliver and light blue shimmers throughout the polish. The perfect color for the season. The formula on this polish is amazing and applied smoothly on the nails. This is two coats sealed with top coat.
Overall I am very impressed with LVX polishes and their unique colors. Their formula requires minimal coats, which makes the application easier and fast drying time. You can purchase on their website here for $16.00 each.
