Hello everyone! A few weeks ago I received an epic nail mail. Unfortunately, I've had a few personal and technical problems, I just haven't had the time to showcase these beauties. So for today's post I have Deborah Lippmann's new summer collections inspired by her home state, Arizona. As you can see it's not your typical shades for the summer, but it does have a safari-like feel to it.
Even though this is the time everyone is seeing many brands with bright shades, it is wonderful to see something different this year. Of course looking at these may, remind you if similar shades from other brands, but by experience, by no means they are definitely different.
The collection consists of four full coverage earthy and neutral creme's shades. Each shade is described to "reflects the desert's remarkable beauty and rich, earthy landscape."
Shifting Sands- is described as a light khaki creme, which was previewed at Eva Fhran's S/S 2015 NFW presentation. This is a a gorgeous light nude shade, even though this is one color seen in many different brands, I for one, haven't had one with a good formula base. This is two coats, sealed with top coat.
Desert Moon- is a pebble gray, closely to a green (in my opinion). This is one shade I never expected to like or even have in my nail polish stash. The formula as smooth an very easy to apply. This is two coats, sealed with tip coat.
This is one color that represents to me of a safari. Which I was inspired by, creating some animal prints using black acrylic paint.
Overall all four shades are
absolutely beautiful and different from each
other. Each colors are unique on their own. The summer collection are now available and retail $18.00 each at www.deborahlippmann.com and at Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Sephora stores.
