Hi Everyone! It's beginning to look like Christmas...well the malls and outlets are. I can't believe were in the first week of November, and all of the stores are coming out with Christmas decorations. Can't wait for Black Friday, all those sales! Well I was shopping the other day and saw these cute wrapping papers on display, so many Christmas inspirations.
One particular wrapping paper caught my eye, which became my inspiration for my next Alphabet Nail Art Challenge: O for Owl. I loved the color combinations. Even the owl was cute. I just knew I had to do my nails on them. Here they are:
For the base, It was really hard to find the perfect green that would match the color palette. And Julep Francis is the perfect green, which had the exact shade I wanted. I applied two coats. Once the polish dries. I drew some of leaves and snowflakes, using a nail art brush, with Essie's Blanc. I then added small cherries, using a small dotting tool, with Julep's Shella.
The owl was my favorite of all. I used 32 Flavors Nail Candy Brown Sugar for the body and face. I then added some intricate designs on the wing and outlined around the eyes, using Essie's Blanc and Julep Francis. I then sealed the design with my new all time favorite top coat Duri- Super Fast Dry Through Top Coat.
I love this mani, it's my early homage for the upcoming Holidays. At first I felt it was a little too much, but it grew on me, even the brown! ;)
